When you install the TurboDial software, you are basically setting up your computer to use a proxy server. With this setup, instead of requesting a web page directly from the source, your computer sends the request to our TurboDial proxy server.
This server requests the page from the source. It then compresses the page, normally making it one-third to one-sixth the original size, and sends this compressed file to your computer.
The TurboDial software takes this compressed file and uncompresses it. It displays the original page in your web browser. This is how TurboDial increases your connection. By sending the compressed web pages over your dial-up connection, you can receive 3 to 6 times the data in the same amount of time.
