Click on Start

Click on Contorl Panel

Click Classic View in the upper left corner

Double click on Internet Options

Click on the Connections tab at the top

You should have something that says Dial-Up Connection or MetaLINK in the white box on the screen.  Click on it and then click Settings on the right.

Here you should see your username.  Click on it and add @metalink.net to the end of it.  For example, it should now look like This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Click on Properties

Erase the phone number and type in the new number that is local for you listed below

Click OK

Click OK

Click OK

Close the Control Panel by clicking the X in the upper right corner

Sending Email

You will need to make changes on your email program so you can send email on this new phone number.

Click Start

Click Email at the top of the list

Click Tools at the top of the screen

Click Accounts

Under the mail option, you will see your MetaLINK email account, click it once.

Click Properties

Click the Servers tab at the top

Place a check mark next to My server requires authentication

Click Apply

Click OK

Click Close

You should now be all set.  Enjoy the Internet!
