Click on Start

Click Control Panel

(Click Settings then Control Panel for Classic View)

On the left, make sure it says Switch to Category View in the Control Panel box.  If it does not say that please click on the words Switch to Classic View and it should change.

Double click on Internet Options

Click on the Connections Tab at the top

You should have a Dial-Up connection in the white box on the screen.  Click on it and then click on Settings on the right.

Here you should see your username.  Click behind it and type @metalink.net.  Example:  Your username should look like This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Click on Properties

Erase the phone number and type in the new number that is local for you listed below

Click OK

Click OK

Click OK

Close the Control Panel by clicking the X in the top right corner

Sending Email

You will need to make a change on your email program so you can send email on this new number.

Click on Start

Click on All Programs

Click on Outlook Express

Click on Tools

Click on Accounts

Click on the Mail tab

Click on Properties

Click on the Servers tab at the top

Put a check mark in for My server requires authentication

Click the Apply button

Click OK

Click on Close

You should now be all set.  Enjoy the Internet!
